Home Contact Us Prices The Tests Pass Plus ~ Driving lessons Exeter ~ Driving lessons Honiton ~ Driving lessons Sidmouth ~ Driving lessons Cullompton ~ Driving schools Exeter ~ PASS PLUS This is a training scheme that has been devised by the Driving Standards Agency for newly qualified drivers and is backed by many insurance companies who offer up to 40% discount once you have completed the course, but more importantly, it will give you the skills to deal with:- 1 - Town driving Driving in town can be daunting: rush hour traffic, complicated junctions and traffic systems... you'll learn the skills to deal with all of these plus more. 2 - All-weather driving Rain, fog, bright sunshine, snow and ice: find out how to drive safely in all the different weather conditions you'll face on the road 3 - Driving out of town Country roads can harbour all kinds of hazards, from sharp bends and potholes to farm vehicles and animals in the road 4 - Night driving Dealing with dazzle, judging distance and speed, using your lights correctly - these are just some of the areas covered 5 - Driving on dual carriageways To drive safely on fast, multi-lane roads you'll need all your skills of observation, concentration, anticipation and lane discipline 6 - Driving on motorways Motorways are like no other roads: learn how to drive on them safely and correctly under expert supervision.   When you successfully complete the course, the Driving Standards Agency send you a certificate which you will need to claim your insurance discount. The insurers in the scheme represent over 63% of the private car insurance market. Most participating insurers will give you a one year's no claims bonus as soon as you insure your own car. You may be able to defer the bonus for up to 2 years but you can take the Pass Plus course at any time in your driving career. It's mainly aimed at new drivers in the first year after passing their test so if you passed your test more than a year ago, you should check with participating insurance companies whether you'll still be eligible for discounts before taking part in the Pass Plus scheme.
